Dear friends, family, and kindhearted strangers,
I am Alan, a longtime friend of Elizabeth and Michael's, and I have a simple ask from you today..
I am reaching out to you on behalf of Elizabeth, Michael and their son, Will, with hopeful spirits to ask for your support. Recently, Will went through an incredibly difficult and challenging experience, and his road to recovery will be long. As he begins his journey towards wellness, he will need to remain in a hospital away from his home for the foreseeable future.
During this time, Will’s family faces significant challenges. They need to be close by to support him, but the costs are mounting rapidly. They are asking for your support with housing in TX near the hospital, daily living expenses, and medical care that will extend beyond what insurance can cover. The best estimate is that there is a gap of $20,000 that the family needs help with.
Here’s how your support can make a difference:
Housing costs: To be near Will in TX, his family needs temporary accommodation. The costs of short-term rentals or nearby housing are overwhelming. Any contribution towards these expenses will provide them with important added stability during this time.
Medical expenses: While most of Will’s primary medical costs may be covered, there are still numerous out-of-pocket expenses for his ongoing care, rehabilitation, and potential future treatments. Your support can help ease the related financial burden on Will’s family.
Daily living expenses: With the family focusing all their energy on Will’s recovery, they need help with daily living expenses such as food, transportation, and other necessities. Your generosity will help alleviate some of the stress of managing these costs.
Emotional and psychological support: Will’s recovery is not just physical; it will also require emotional and psychological support. Funds will assist in covering counseling services and support groups that are crucial for Will’s healing process and for his family.
No one should have to go through a crisis like this alone, and every little bit helps. We deeply appreciate any donation you can make, whether large or small. Your kindness will provide immense relief during this incredibly challenging period and will help Will’s family focus on what matters most - his recovery and their time together. Please also check in on the updates here on Will’s GoFundMe page and leave supportive and encouraging comments for Will and his family.
Thank you from the bottom of our hearts for your compassion, support, and generosity.
With gratitude and hope,
Alan (on behalf of Will and his family)
