Two years ago, our beloved mother, friend, teacher, and community member Wanda Stamey suffered a stroke. Since then, she has been on a long and challenging journey of recovery, fighting every day through rehabilitation, therapy, and ongoing medical treatments.
Wanda is more than just a stroke survivor; she’s a retired physical education teacher from Macon County Schools, the proud former owner of Stamey’s Café, and someone who has poured her heart into our community for decades. Whether she was inspiring students, serving up delicious meals, or lending a helping hand, Wanda has touched countless lives.
Now, it’s our turn to give back. This fundraiser will help cover her medical treatments, therapy sessions, home care, and everyday living expenses as she continues her path toward healing.
On November 15, 2025, we’ll be holding a special community benefit at South Macon School, featuring:
Dinner: 5:00 pm
Cake walk: 6:00 pm
Auction: 7:00 pm
This will raise funds and celebrate Wanda’s strength and spirit. Even if you can’t join us in person, you can still make a difference by donating here.
Every contribution, big or small, brings us one step closer to easing Wanda’s financial burden and showing her that she is not alone in this fight.
All proceeds go directly toward Wanda’s recovery.
Thank you for your generosity, prayers, and love. Let’s come together to uplift Wanda just as she has uplifted so many of us.
