Hello Roots, May Street and Hood River community. As some of you may know, sweet Walter Hinschberger (4) developed a respiratory infection that has progressed to the point of requiring intensive care. At this juncture he has been transferred to a PICU in Portland and there are many unknowns. He is currently receiving full medical support to help him fight this and his family needs our help.

If you know Paul and Marin, you know what exceptional humans and amazing parents they are to Walter and Edie. Right now the priority is to allow Paul, Marin and big sister Edie (6) to be with Walter and to help him heal.

The purpose of this fund is to raise money to help Marin and Paul with medical expenses and accommodations during this difficult time. They are understandably overwhelmed right now, and we ask that you please respect their privacy at this time. We will add updates as Walter’s journey continues.
