Dear friends,
As many of you know, volunteering and fundraising for animal welfare is a passion of mine. I initially planned to support VOSD, a no-kill street dog shelter in Bangalore, during my six-week volunteer stint with them, as part of my 16 week trip to Nepal and India. VOSD cares for over 1,700 dogs that would struggle to survive on the streets, including those facing medical issues, aggression from past trauma, and retired police and army service dogs.
This is a link to their website for further information.
However, just as I was leaving Nepal for India, Kathmandu experienced devastating floods, resulting in significant damage to the KAT Centre, where I previously volunteered. KAT focuses on Animal Birth Control to help manage the street dog population, and their operating theater and facilities have been severely affected.
In light of these events, I’ve decided to shift my fundraising efforts to benefit both VOSD and KAT Centre equally.
Here is the website for KAT Centre Nepal.
I’ve set up this GoFundMe as a personal fundraiser, and I won’t access the funds until I return to Australia on December 17th. I promise full transparency, sharing updates and proof of donations to both organizations, just as I did with my previous campaigns.
This will be the largest fundraiser I've undertaken, and I would greatly appreciate your support. If you can’t donate, sharing this campaign on social media would mean the world to me. Every share helps us reach our goal and raise awareness.
If you prefer to donate in cash, please reach out to me directly so I can assist you with that option. Even a small contribution can make a significant difference.
Thank you for your time and support. Please consider sharing this with anyone who might help.
Much love,
Mark
