On July 26, our family was shattered by an unimaginable loss. Victor Owens—our nephew, brother, son, friend, and proud father of four—was killed when an intoxicated driver with a suspended license struck him while he was riding his bike. He was only 39 years old.
Victor’s life was a unique journey and at times not easy, but he loved fiercely and had an unquenchable desire to help anyone and everyone. He was a very talented musician, a private pilot, an eagle scout but his greatest joy—and his entire world—was his family. He leaves behind four wonderful children who now face life without their dad. No child should have to grow up with that kind of heartbreak and now the worry of a completely altered life path with so much uncertainty.
We’re trying to raise funds to help cover the costs of Victor’s burial and memorial—and more importantly, to give his children some sense of stability and support in the days, months, and years ahead.
Your donations will help with:
•Funeral and burial expenses
•Immediate needs for the children
•Longer-term support: school, therapy, basic needs, and anything to help them feel safe again
Our initial goal is $20,000, but we know the needs are much greater than that. These kids have lost their dad, their anchor, and the love and care he offered when he was present and well. Now they need a village.
Victor was taken far too soon in a senseless act, and he leaves behind a deep, aching hole in all our hearts. He had a beautiful, loving soul. His smile could light up a room and make you feel seen, even in his darkest seasons. No matter his own struggles, his greatest light came through in how deeply he loved his children.
We want them to grow up knowing how much their dad mattered—and how deeply he was loved by so many.
If you can give, thank you. If you’re unable to donate, please consider sharing this fundraiser. Every act of kindness helps.
With all our love and gratitude,
