Hello! My name is Victoria Woodworth, a 2024 graduate from Texas Christian University (TCU) in Fort Worth, TX. I’m an independent filmmaker with a passion for making films that have an impact. My goal is to bring this film to life and share it on the festival circuit, but I need your help to make it happen.

My short film, Breaking Character, sheds light on the silent struggles that many men face in an industry that too often turns a blind eye. While abuse and exploitation in Hollywood have come to the forefront in recent years, there remains an undeniable double standard: when a woman speaks out, her story is shared, and her pain is acknowledged. But when it happens to a man, the response is silence.

This film does not discredit the abuse that women have endured—it simply asks an important question: Why don’t we listen when it happens to men too?

Through the story of Michael, a rising actor masking his pain behind forced smiles and self-deprecating humor, we explore the reality of those who suffer in silence, afraid that no one will believe them or that their pain is somehow less valid. This is not just a film—it’s a statement. A voice for those who have been ignored for too long.
