Help Support Vicky's Recovery and Medical Expenses

Just under two weeks ago, our dear Koumbara, Vicky Constantinidis-Gardikes, was involved in a severe car accident that put her in the ICU. When I didn’t hear back from her as I usually do, I grew concerned, and then the news came from her husband, Peter Gardikes, of what had happened. We were all absolutely shocked and heartbroken that someone so beloved could experience such a traumatic event.

Vicky has sustained multiple fractures, lacerations, bruising, and internal injuries. She was intubated in the ICU for four days. Thankfully, after nearly two weeks, she has been moved to a step-down unit, where Peter remains by her side, offering unwavering support as she faces the difficult road to recovery.

Many of you know Vicky as our dedicated Greek Dance Director, the MC of the Annunciation Columbus Greek Festival, a devoted member of the Annunciation Greek Orthodox Cathedral, an exceptional event coordinator, Vicky is a loving wife, daughter, sister, caregiver of her dear late mother for seven years and now caregiver to her mother-in-law, and godmother to our son, Stamati and her goddaughter Sophia. She is the friend who always shows up, selflessly committed to her family, her community, and especially the children of our cathedral.

As Vicky and Peter embark on this long and uncertain journey, we ask for your prayers. Vicky will require extensive physical therapy, and while the full extent of her recovery is still unknown, we have faith in her strength and in the grace of God. In addition to your prayers and encouraging words, we humbly request your financial support. The road ahead for Vicky will be challenging, and we want to help ease the burden of medical and living expenses so that she and Peter can focus on her healing.
