Help Support Vero's Medical and Funeral Expenses

We are reaching out with heavy hearts to ask for your support for my sister Vero’s medical and future funeral expenses. Vero is the strongest among the six of us siblings—always the life of the party, always the one to lift our spirits when we needed it most.

These past few years have brought unimaginable challenges. In 2017, she faced the devastating loss of her only daughter. In 2021, she was diagnosed with cancer—a battle she bravely fought and won. After undergoing surgery to remove a tumor from her stomach, we were hopeful as she began her recovery.

But in a heartbreaking turn of events, we recently learned that her cancer has returned, this time in her liver. The past few weeks have been incredibly difficult for our entire family, especially her husband and son. Doctors at both Rush and Northwestern Memorial have told us there’s little more they can do, and Vero is now being transitioned into hospice care. Still, we hold onto hope and continue to pray for a miracle.

On behalf of her husband, her son, and our entire family, we humbly ask for your help. Any contribution—big or small—will go toward covering her medical costs and, when the time comes, her funeral expenses. We are deeply grateful for your kindness, support, and prayers during this painful time. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts.

Nos acercamos a ustedes con el corazón en la mano para pedir su apoyo con los gastos médicos y, en un futuro, los gastos funerarios de mi hermana Vero. Vero es la más fuerte de los seis hermanos—siempre la alegría de la familia, siempre levantándonos el ánimo cuando más lo necesitábamos.

Estos últimos años han sido increíblemente difíciles. En 2017, enfrentó la devastadora pérdida de su única hija.
