Help support unexpected expenses for Colton!

Hello. My name is Amy Davis and I am one of Marissas friends. If you are here to make a donation, on behalf of the family I would like to say THANK YOU!!! Every little bit will help for the unexpected expenses with the untimely passing of Marissa. As you probably already know Colton has lost his only parent suddenly and unexpectedly. At 24 he is unable to cover all of the expenses on his own so I thought a Go Fund Me might help alleviate some of the stress for him. Marissa passed away at home on Tuesday, 1/4/2022. She struggled for half of her life with syringomyelia and severe gastroparesis, the result of a chiari malformation with which she was born. Her unexpected passing was due to a pulmonary embolism.

Anyone who knew Marissa knew that she lived for her son Colton, whom she raised as a single mother, the only parent he has known. She was very much looking forward to the next chapter of his life as he is working toward hopefully finding his way into graduate school for a future law career.

Marissa was known to be a giving person whenever she was able; Colton has always fully expected it is his responsibility to make his own way in this world. However, some in their circle have specifically and kindly asked for a way to contribute in a physical/financial way, and thus this page was borne with that good and thoughtful intention.

Already the family have been blessed with so many kind words, thoughts and deeds. They express their appreciation to everyone for their prayers and consideration at this time.
