On Monday Jan 12th my daughter’s boyfriend Tyler Quintal was in a car accident. Tyler was coming home from work with plans to make a chicken dinner for himself and Delaney and watch The Hunger Games, that was his plan, instead he is in the ICU fighting for his life. A man, driving the wrong way on the highway hit Tyler head on at a high rate of speed and turned his world upside down. Tyler has had 2 major surgeries in the last 3 days and has countless more ahead. He has more than 12 broken bones, has 2 severe cardiac injuries including an aortic dissection and a tear in the aortic artery, both injuries that should have killed him but he fought hard and continues to do so. Tyler requires full care right now and Delaney “Laney” has been by his side non stop rooting him on, asking all the right questions and advocating every minute for the love of her life. His parents and I have been there every day trying to be as much support as we can but just feeling helpless so this is how we can help.

Tyler and Delaney just moved in to their first apartment together with their 2 cats, they were making plans for their future a few days ago and all that they can see now is a long road of recovery. The next few months are going to be full of a lot of major decisions, and uncertainty, months of recovery and eventually rehab. With all of this uncertainty there is going to be a financial strain, medical bills, extended rehab stay etc. We are hoping to raise enough money so that the focus of Delaney and Tyler remains on Tyler’s recovery and not on how to keep the roof over their heads and how to pay the extensive medical bills.

Any little bit will help and will be going directly into an account for Tyler and Delaney to offset expenses.
