Help Support Twin's Recovery
UPDATE: The final vet bill reached just under £4,500. If you can spare even just £5/$5, I would e so grateful
My name is Krishna, and I care for a small group of feral (stray/outdoor) cats who visit my garden. One of them, a gentle girl I call Twin, was suddenly at death's door three weeks ago. She was rushed to the vet and received life-saving emergency treatment. Since she is an outdoor cat, she wasn't insured. Despite not being my cat, I have spent and will continue to spend a significant amount of money to help her recover.
She was diagnosed with severe anaemia, a possible mycoplasma infection and finally, diabetes. Despite her feral nature, she has been so brave during her stay.
The initial estimate for her treatment was £1,600, but as her condition became more complex the costs rose sharply. Twin was diagnosed with diabetes following a fructosamine test. She received treatment, medication, and specialist care, but her road to recovery will be long.
The bill included:
- Emergency vet care and stabilisation
- Medical boarding fees to monitor her closely
- Ongoing medication for anaemia, mycoplasma, and diabetes
- Further blood tests and follow-up checks
I’m committed to covering Twin’s care no matter what, but this has grown far beyond what I expected. Any contribution — large or small — will help lighten the load and ensure Twin gets the best possible chance at a full recovery. You will be helping me care for a cat who has lived her whole life outdoors.
If you can’t donate, please consider sharing her story. Every share could reach someone who can help.
Thank you from the bottom of my heart for supporting Twin.
Krishna
