For those close to Jess & Trevor Sora, you may have heard they are expecting a baby boy! What you may not know is the news they received about baby Enzo’s health complications they are expecting upon his arrival (more info below). Jess will be put on bed rest in July and will remain at the hospital until she gives birth and for a period of time afterwards. This means both Jess and Trevor will be taking time from their home, work, family and friends to receive the best care to ensure a safe pregnancy, delivery and aftercare. Along with the cost of living, they will face the cost of the care Jess will receive before birth, and the care Enzo will require after birth.

Many of us are wondering, “what can we do to help? How can we support you?” The answer to this lies within the hands of friends, family and even acquaintances!

If you are someone who wants to/is able to help, there are many ways you can support the Soras. A food train will be started in order to ensure they are able to eat a home cooked meal (although a DoorDash order won’t be turned down!). Words of encouragement and prayers are also extremely encouraged! If you are able and willing, any donations made through this GoFundMe will go directly to helping Jess and Trevor maintain the cost of this journey.

I know Jess and Trevor are extremely grateful for everyone in their lives. They are both such kind hearted people and can make it through with the kindness and support of family and friends! As things start to change and look a little different in our lives, we find it necessary to share with our family and friends an update on what has been happening recently. I first want to preface with - our hearts remain with God and know he will always provide. Everything happens for a reason and we are made to be baby Enzo’s parents.

The last couple of weeks we have been in what feels like a twilight zone. We found out Baby Enzo has some health complications and it’s been a whirlwind of hospital visits and emotions. Baby Enzo has heart abnormalities which will require immediate need and intervention. Along with surgeries early on and throughout his life. The doctors are working to balance that with my vasa previa. This means in 6-8 weeks I will be headed to the hospital for the remainder of the pregnancy and will deliver early via c-section. We will remain in the hospital for quite some time following delivery but have full faith in our team of doctors and in God.

We say all of this with pure faith in our hearts. We by no means feel sorry for ourselves or are seeking pity as we know God is with us and watching over us. We truly believe that everything is going to be okay, it just may take some extra steps to get there. God has baby Enzo wrapped in his arms and we will continue to pray over him and his health.

We just want all of those important to us to know as our lives are going to be looking much different this next year ♥️
