Supporting the Saegusa Family

Donation protected

In honor of the late Toyozo ("Tony") Saegusa who suddenly passed away on March 1st due to COVID complications, we've started a fundraiser that will assist his family with their financial burden.

For the past 3 decades, Tony's Azuma Sushi has been a staple among Westchester county residents. The Hartsdale restaurant was one of the first authentic sushi restaurants in Westchester County. His customers and staff over the past 38 years became like a second family to Tony, and his favorite part about running the restaurant.

Tony was born on October 11, 1947 in Yamanashi, Japan.
He came to the United States in 1969 and opened Azuma Sushi in 1983
Tony was a loving husband, father and friend to many.
He is survived by his wife of 45 years, Kuniko, 3 sons - Tohgo, Haruki, Kento - and 1 grandson, Ken.
