Help Support Tom’s Final Expenses

My best friends family just lost their father to pulmonary fibrosis and lung cancer Monday night. Tom was so well known in our community and I would like to do something to help with any funeral arrangements and other costs that have accumulated over the course of his illness.

Thomas Sweeney, lifelong resident of Hoboken, passed away peacefully surrounded by his family on Monday, March 21st. If you knew Tom, you were lucky. He was kind, compassionate and always making people laugh. He worked for the City of Hoboken and was a DJ for many years. Most knew him as coach Tom or DJ Tom from his years spent keeping people dancing at clubs, weddings, and events.

Tom is survived by his loving and devoted children, Ashley Sweeney, Stacy Sweeney, and Deanna Sweeney; his wife Diana Sweeney; daughter in law Rose Kanan; siblings Jack Sweeney, Debbie Sweeney, Kathy Sweeney and Darlene Sweeney; his grandchildren Dominick, Elaina, and Evie; he also leaves behind many nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will take place on Saturday, March 26th at 10am and will be followed by a gathering at the Multi Service Center. A friend of Tom is a friend for life and we welcome all who knew him.
