On February 23, 2021, my friend Todd suffered a major stroke that left him unable to speak and with severe weakness on his entire right side. He is only 39. Though he is now recovering and will be in therapy soon to regain his speech, this has left him, and his family, in a dire financial situation.

Todd is the sole caregiver for his parents, both of whom suffer from medical conditions of their own rendering them unable to work and often unable to take basic care of themselves (cooking, cleaning, driving to doctor appointments, etc.). His father has congestive heart failure and a pacemaker and the family was recently dealt a blow just before Todd’s stroke when his mother was diagnosed with cancer. She is currently undergoing chemotherapy but this is an especially devastating shock as Todd’s brother, Hank, was lost to cancer in 2004.

Medical bills are piling up and Todd does not have insurance. Nor can he currently provide for his parents or himself because of the stroke. He desperately needs any help that you can give at this time. If you cannot donate, please consider sharing so that this may get to as many people as possible.
