Hi, my name is Tim Christy, a 34-year-old father of 3 crazy children & gf.

Last year, I was diagnosed with testicular seminoma (stage 1). I had to undergo surgery to remove the tumor and one cycle of chemotherapy. Unfortunately, during what was supposed to be a routine PET scan follow-up, the scans revealed that it has returned (as stage 2) and spread to a lymph node in my abdomen.

I’m now preparing to undergo further treatment, which will involve very intensive chemotherapy cycles and extended recovery time. I have been in the process recently of actively searching for work when I got the news — but now I will be forced to put it on hold. I'm currently unemployed, so I'm unsure if I’ll qualify for disability or other assistance programs. My gf & I were already in a tight spot finacially but with this cancer coming back out of no where before I was able to get back to work. Is only going to make things much more difficult for us.

Thankfully, my insurance covers the bulk of my medical treatment. The funds from this GoFundMe will go toward basic living expenses and transportation while I focus on recovery for the next 3 months of treatment.
