Help Support the Farinella Family

Cassie Lynn Markel is organizing this fundraiser on behalf of Mary Lynn Farinella and her children.

To all of the friends and family of Mary and John Farinella, we thank all who have help support the Farinella's so far. As you all may know that John passed after a short 11 month hard -fought battle with stage 4 Pancreatic Cancer. We all rallied behind the entire family and thought he could beat this. Mary had lost her job prior to John's diagnosis which just showed how God works in such mysterious ways...Mary was able to hold John's hand through each stage of surgeries, chemotherapy, and radiation without the worry of going to a job. On Easter, John watched with tears in his eyes a video sent to him from his all-time favorite hero Eagle Football player, Brian Dawkins. In the video Brian Dawkins referred to John as "John the Fighter". John always had the attitude of a fighter. After his treatment was over and he thought he was ready to prepare for surgery to remove his tumor, the worst news ever came, his cancer had spread. John then said, I guess I need bigger boxing gloves! As Brian Dawkins told him that he had the attitude of a fighter, John demonstrated what a heroic fighter looked like. John held on for his best day ever to come, his son's wedding day. Such a proud dad, he had the biggest smile from ear to ear as he celebrated this magical day! His day was filled with love of family and friends and cancer did NOT exist this day. Shortly after the wedding John had suffered several emergency room visits requiring hospitalizations and emergency on Mother's Day. Oh how we all prayed for him to pull through. Just 22 days after his son's wedding John entered into heaven now free of pain but leaving so many hearts empty. It's now been 4 weeks since John's passing and several medical bills have now placed a financial burden on an already heartbroken family. It is in times like this that we as friends and family can really make a difference in their lives.
