As many of you know, our hockey family member Zach was recently diagnosed with lung cancer.

Zach is not just a familiar face around the rink — he’s the dad who’s always there. He brings his son Zachary (aka Wheels) to every practice, game, and tournament, cheering him on and supporting the entire team along the way. Even when Zachary's team is not on the ice, Zach and Wheels can be found watching other teams play, showing their love for the game and the community that surrounds it.

Zach’s daughter, Nora, is just as much a part of the hockey family — a Girl Scout, dancer, and the team’s biggest cheerleader, always smiling and supporting her brother and his teammates. Together, the Wessel family embodies what makes youth sports so special: dedication, heart, and togetherness.

Now, it’s our turn to show up for them.

We’re raising funds to help Zach and his family manage unexpected medical expenses, time away from work, and the many challenges that come with his diagnosis. Your support will help ease the financial strain so Zach can focus on what matters most — his health and his family — and allow them to continue to be involved in their children's activities.
