On February 24th, Vladimir Putin ordered the invasion of Ukraine - in doing so, millions of innocent Ukrainian families were torn from their homes and families and forced to seek refuge at neighbouring countries.
There is already a crisis unfolding at the border. It is taking some up to 72+ hours to cross, there are lines stretching 10 miles long and there is no infrastructure to support the people gathering there.
After the Ukrainian government has conscripted all men aged 18-60 to help fight the Russian invasion, it is now primarily women, children and the elderly who are now crossing the borders.
The UNHCR is providing much-needed aid at the border and to the countries that are offering refuge to the Ukrainian people. Your money will be used to provide shelter, medical aid, food and winter relief.
After just 6 days, an estimated 1,000,000 Ukrainians have crossed the border. It is already expected that this number will rapidly increase to 7,000,000+ over the next few weeks alone.
The target amount will help ~10,000 people with immediate aid through UNHCR. Any donation, big or small will be very much appreciated, and those who cannot donate are welcome to share
