Help support the Tameling Family
Donation protected
Alex and Michelle are two of the most thoughtful and giving people I know and right now they need our support.
In April, Alex had a near fatal medical event secondary to a rare complication of his autoimmune disorder. After an extensive work up, we found out he’s been walking on a broken hip so long that it’s healing (amongst a multitude of other things). He was left with no choice but to stop working until he receives a total hip replacement.
Fortunately, Michelle was able to work as much overtime as needed to support their family. It’s been a little rough on the boys (and mom, ok… MOSTLY mom) but ultimately they were incredibly thankful to have that opportunity.
The last week of December Michelle lost partial sensation, function and dexterity in both of my hands from what they thought was a cervical spine injury. After further testing it was discovered that she has carpal tunnel in both hands and will most likely not regain full function in either hand and will most likely need to find a new career.
Right now they are still able to make some income from their farm stand, The Rowdy Roost but could really use any support we can offer. There is a GoFundMe and meal train but please reach out if you have other ideas or suggestions.
