Help support the Smouse Family

Many of you know our dear friends Candace and Adam Smouse. Candace is a wife and mother of three beautiful, small children and is a wonderful woman of faith, always caring for the needs of others. On January 28th, Adam rushed her to the hospital because she had severe abdominal pain due to complications from her Crohn’s disease.  As a result, she underwent extensive surgery, (removing 30 cm of her colon) and an ileostomy, which she will have for about three months. While the surgery was a success she was in the hospital for ten days and will require a second surgery.

At this point they are focusing on managing her pain, restorative rest and limited activity. The doctors estimate her recovery will take seven to eight months. You can imagine the cost of two operations, two hospital stays plus the loss of income from Candace not being able to work.  We have seen our community rally around this little family that we all love so much, with many prayers, words of encouragement and emotional support.
