Lisa lost a brave battle with breast cancer on March 30, 2021 at the age of 47. She will be remembered as one who lit up the room with her presence.
If you knew Lisa, you new she had sparkles in her eyes. She was adventurous, charismatic, and loved to have fun. She went skydiving, took horseback riding lessons, and enjoyed traveling to Florida to visit family. She would send birthday cards filled with glitter and could make you feel her joyful energy even when you were far apart. She loved gardening and grew the most beautiful flowers and spent hours collecting and polishing rocks to add to her garden. Lisa was an animal lover all of her life and had recently adopted a dog, whom she called Clare, and spoiled her rotten. And in return Clare provided Lisa with comfort and support throughout her battle with cancer.
Lisa attended catholic school and graduated from Traverse City Senior High. She graduated from the University of Michigan with a bachelors degree and became a registered nurse, specializing in pacemakers. Over the years Lisa worked at St. Jude's Medical, McLaren Northern Michigan Hospital, and most recently at Bayside Family Medicine in Petoskey, MI. She was extremely hard working, caring, and generous, which made her the perfect nurse and caregiver. She absolutely loved helping others.
She is survived by her mother and three beautiful children, Chase (24), Summer (13) and Madison (12).
Her compassion as a mother, a friend and a nurse will never be forgotten and all who knew her will carry a piece of her beauty in their hearts forever. Funds donated will go towards remaining expenses and to Summer and Madison and their future goals.
