Hello, our names are Hannah(age 16) and Olivia (age I8). Our dad had a stroke on Tuesday , February 4th early in the morning. Around 3:30 AM, Olivia, who is living with our dad, found him on his bedroom floor unable to move and slurring his words. Olivia called 911 and the ambulance came to bring him to the hospital . When we first arrived the doctors evaluated him and told us he had a hemorrhagic stroke. The stroke was caused by high blood pressure and not taking the medicine he needed. The bleed was on the right side of his brain and caused paralysis in the left side of his body .

When he first came to the hospital our dad didn’t have any health insurance. With help from our mother, Irene, and financial assistance we were able to get him back on Oregon health care. With the health insurance most of his medical bills will be taken care of . However , the road to recovery is very long which means he is unable to work. Due to his inability to work we have no income to help pay for house bills .  Even though our parents are divorced our mother has done so much to help. Anything would help at this point and we would greatly appreciate the support. Our goal is $8,000. The money we raise will go towards any household bills and further medical expenses while our dad is in an inpatient rehabilitation center. The doctor said recovery can be anywhere from 6 months to a year. Any little amount is appreciated, thank you.
