Dear Friends and Family of our beloved Saluzzi Family,

We are hosting this GoFund Me account for our dear friend Sheila and her precious family.

While most of us were grappling with the unprecedented events and toll of all things 2020 (and into 2021), June 8th, 2020 marked the beginning of a journey that would rock Michael and Sheila's world. Their sweet baby girl, 2-year-old Olivia, was diagnosed with Acute Lymphocytic Leukemia (ALL). While dealing with all that cancer treatment entails is every parents' worst nightmare, Sheila and Michael have had the additional stress of going through this with all of the daunting Covid Hospital protocols and pandemic limitations. Sheila has had to be the sole parent by Olivia's side for the majority of her chemo sessions and lab visits; however, Michael has not had it easy as he has been the family's main source of income while in a pandemic.

This past summer, Michael and Sheila bought their first home together and worked tirelessly to make their new house into a home and safe haven for Olivia as she battles ALL.

In August, life took an unexpectedly tragic turn when Michael's brother passed away. In October, Olivia's latest round of chemo has been especially brutal as both Sheila and Michael have been doing everything in their power to comfort and get Olivia the treatment she needs as well as tirelessly searching for answers to why and how she can get back to a steady-state in her cancer journey.

On Sunday, November 7th, Michael was experiencing chest pain and a trip to the ER determined the unimaginable- he was experiencing cardiac distress. On Tuesday, November 9th, Michael went in for emergency open heart, triple bypass surgery.

As the Saluzzi family grapples with the unimaginable gauntlet that 2020/2021 has thrown at them, please join us in lifting this beautiful family in prayer, and any financial help we can bless them with to help take the load off their medical bills for both Olivia and now Michael.
