Help Support Jason, Kelsey & the Renner Twins

Hi everyone! While we hate asking for help, sometimes it’s necessary. All of this to say, we could use some help.

As many of you know, my husband, Jason, and I are expecting twins! A boy and a girl, di/di twins due in December. After three years of infertility treatments and tests, we finally had a successful IUI transfer in March. It’s been a difficult journey, but up until this point, both babies have been thriving.

Well, the plans have shifted, and that’s no longer the clear cut case. At 26w2d, I went in for my growth scan with my Maternal Fetal Medicine specialist. Baby A, our baby boy, is growing right on time. Baby B, our little girl, is having a harder time. She is significantly smaller than her brother, and is experiencing placental insufficiency - basically, her umbilical cord and placenta are not allowing her to get the oxygen nor the nutrients she needs to grow. I am officially labeled “high risk”.

The doctor who caught it was upfront, saying that if we hadn’t come in for a scan when we did, we could have lost our little girl within the next few weeks.

I have been admitted to the hospital indefinitely until these babies are born. Our goal is to get them to at least 32 weeks, but with twins, they come on their time. I will be under 24/7 monitoring, receiving steroid shots and magnesium to help baby girl grow.

Because of this change, we will be a one income household. My FMLA nor short term disability will offer us any sort of relief, and being out for the indefinite future, it makes paying medical bills, daily expenses, and saving for the twins extremely difficult. I will also start having to pay my insurance premium out of pocket, full price, which will be overwhelmingly pricy.

Those of you that know us know that neither of us like to ask for help. The decision to create a fundraiser has not come easily. But, if you find it in your hearts to help us in any way, we’d greatly appreciate it.

If you are unable to monetarily donate, we’d appreciate it if you could at least share this post.

Any money raised would go directly to hospital bills, daily expenses, savings for the twins, insurance coverage, and savings during my “maternity leave”.

Thank you in advance, and we love you so much!
