Please consider helping my brother Ed and his wife Jamie, along with their children, during this time of mourning and change.
On June 2nd, my niece (Elyse, 15) and nephew (Gabe, 13) tragically lost their mother to a massive heart attack at just 46 years old. As you can imagine, they are absolutely devastated.
My brother and his wife are now raising them full time, along with their 9 month old son. Jamie has had to leave her long-time management position to stay home and care for the children.
Elyse was born with a rare form of muscular dystrophy, and requires a paraprofessional and special accessible bus to transport her (along with her power chair) to school. She has attended Livonia Public Schools her whole life, and has created bonds with the faculty and staff there, as well as her fellow peers. Because of this, Jamie and Ed are frantically searching to purchase a home in the Livonia/Westland area, that will allow her to continue attending her current high school. The home also needs to be more accommodating to mobility in her power chair, including wider rooms to zoom around, and non-carpeted floors. They have an August deadline, and with Jamie no longer working, are finding this task almost impossible.
They also need to purchase a new accessible van, so they are able to transport Elyse and her chair comfortably, along with the rest of their family.

Any donation or contribution would be greatly appreciated during this difficult time.
Any information on homes for sale in the Livonia/Westland area, or accessible vehicles for sale, are also welcomed.
Please keep Ed, Jamie, Elyse, Gabe and Baby Tommy in your thoughts and prayers, as the next few weeks and months will be quite challenging for their family. Thank you all!
