My name is Demi, and my husband Tyrus and I are facing an unexpected and difficult journey. At just 23 weeks and 4 days pregnant with our fourth child, Tyrus Jr., my water broke without warning. Since then, I have been hospitalized, and our family has been turned upside down. Our three children Gabriel, Jo’el, and Alanys are at home, missing me, while Tyrus does his best to care for them and keep things together. We are praying that our baby stays safe and healthy for as long as possible, but we know he will need time in the NICU once he arrives.

This situation has put a huge strain on us emotionally and financially. With me in the hospital and Tyrus unable to work, we are struggling to keep up with our mortgage, utilities, insurance, and the everyday needs of our children. We are also preparing for the costs of traveling over an hour to visit our newborn in the NICU, as well as meals and childcare for Gabriel, Jo’el, and Alanys. The kids miss having me at home, and it’s been hard for all of us to be apart during such a stressful time.

We never expected to be in this position, but we are reaching out for help so we can keep our home and provide for our family while we wait for our baby’s arrival.
