Hello everyone! I have created this GoFundMe account for a very special family in my life that is needing financial support while trying to navigate through a life changing situation with the newest member of their family, Clare.

At just six days old, Clare was diagnosed with a rare muscular disease called Spinal Muscular Atrophy, other recognized as SMA. This disease does not allow the muscles to continue to grow properly which leads to muscle deterioration, which is irreversible.

After a lot of back and forth, tears, and prayer, Clare was accepted by insurance and given a daily medication to begin replacing the gene that is missing to help her tiny body produce the protein she needs in order for her muscles to grow and not begin to deteriorate.

Last week, Clare was approved for Zolgensma, a onetime infusion that is given to hopefully permanently replace the gene that she needs to begin muscle production. It has since been administered, and Clare has not shown any negative side effects of the infusion. However, the fight is not over for the Parks family.

Clare has several back-to-back appointments in various locations, the most frequent being in St. Louis, Missouri, which is around a six-hour round trip drive for the next few months or more. While gas, food, and hotel (if needed) costs are high enough, because of Clare's condition and constant need for observation at this time, Cheyenne is unable to return back to her regular work schedule once her maternity leave is over.

Although God has blessed Landon and Cheyenne with positive news so far, they are feeling the weight of all the extra expenses. Making sure all day to day expenses are covered at home, expenses for their oldest daughter, Laney, and to ensure Clare is getting the best care at home and from her doctors has become a stressful situation to further navigate.
