Help support the Paraskiv family

Dear Friends and Family,

We want to thank our family, friends and church for your prayers, words of encouragement and support. Throughout this trial God has helped us find peace in his promises that he will never leave nor forsake us. We submit to God’s sovereign will as we pray for a miracle.

We wanted to take this time to explain what recently transpired. On April 28th Yuriy and our youngest son Mark headed out to what was supposed to be an ordinary day of work. While trimming a tree, a large branch broke off and struck Yuriy on the back of the head and he fell from his ladder.  Mark observed as these events unfold and imminently called for help. Yuriy was airlifted to Halifax hospital, and placed on life support. The complications of Yury’s head trauma has prevented doctors from being able to get a full picture of his injury. He is currently in a coma with inflammation in his brain.  A stencil has been placed to remove blood from his brain stem hemorrhage and to relieve pressure. The doctors told us that we have to wait for him to wake up before any determinations can be made. It’s too early to tell what treatment is possible or how long the recovery will be. Due to the covid-19 pandemic, family visitations have been restricted and Yury’s two sons have not had a chance to see their father.

It saddens us to share of the unimaginable trial our family is going through. Life at home has become rattled since Yuriy was our sole income provider. Mark was was cured from linear scleroderma only thanks to Gods Mercy. His immune system is still compromised but he is starting his old job again to help out. Our eldest son, who was attending Bible school in Jacksonville, has returned home to provide help around the house. Our daughter is making daily visits to comfort and is providing us with updates from the hospital.

Much of the road that lays ahead is filled with uncertainty. Many of the doctors paint a bleak picture, but we have faith and God is sending us peace for our hearts. At this point doctors say we have to wait for him to wake up, currently no surgery is possible. Never have we ever felt so insignificant in the world, but we lean on our heavenly father, the ultimate healer to perform a miracle and show how significant our daddy's life is.

If God has placed it on your heart to donate to our family financially in this time of need, we would be tremendously grateful. Please continue keeping us in your prayers.
