Hi, my name is Rob, and I’m starting this GoFundMe on behalf of my coworker and friend, Chris Monk, whose family is currently going through the unimaginable.

Their 7-year-old son, Everett, has been valiantly battling cancer for quite some time. The family was recently informed, after a 4 month hospital stay involving a major surgery and recovery, that his cancer has spread, and they’re evaluating treatment options. As you can imagine, their world has been turned upside down overnight. Between hospital stays, treatments, doctor’s appointments, and the emotional toll this has taken, Chris has taken time away from work to be by his Everett’s side and support his family during this critical time.

As a coworker, I’ve witnessed firsthand the strength and dedication Chris brings to everything he does. Now, he’s channeling all of that into being there for his son — as any good parent would. But unfortunately, this means the family is facing financial stress. Bills don’t stop during a crisis, and the added hospital expenses only compound the burden.

I’m reaching out to our community for support. Every dollar raised will go directly toward:

• Covering household bills while Chris is off work, supporting Everett’s treatments and recovery

• Expenses not covered by insurance or benefits

• Day-to-day living costs to help ease the stress on the family

The Monk family is strong, but they shouldn't have to face this alone. Let’s rally around them and show them they are not in this fight by themselves.
