Help support Cheryl during this time of hardship

We never announced it publicly, but some of you may know my mom, Cheryl Miles, was diagnosed with breast cancer last year in March. It was later determined in May to be a rare (stage 3) aggressive HER2-positive invasive breast cancer. Because of the rarity of this diagnosis (neoductgenesis), there are no controlled trials regarding treatment. So, her doctors have been in direct contact with a radiologist from Sweden during this time. In June, Cheryl started chemo treatments weekly for 12 weeks and anti-HER2 treatments every 3 weeks for 1+ years . She had breast surgery in December, and radiation started in February daily for 4 weeks. She is still continuing treatments every 3 weeks for the anti-HER2.

When she was diagnosed, I wasn't afraid. I had faith that she would beat the cancer and live strong through it (even though it wasn't easy dealing with tiredness, horrible skin rashes, pain, and more), but we know that faith is stronger than our fear.

After being diagnosed last year, they have had to slowly give up their landscaping business due to life changes, health, and multiple trips weekly to doctor appointments from Tucumcari to Clovis and Albuquerque, NM. They have also struggled financially due to the trips themselves and their vehicle breaking down several times to and from treatments, and then having to pay for repairs in auto shops. At this point in time, they had to give up that vehicle and no longer have a reliable source of transportation. Cheryl and her husband, Kyle, are having to sell personal items to try to raise some funds to find another vehicle.

As we know, asking for help is never easy and can sometimes make us feel guilty or ashamed. However, they do not know how to proceed. My mom still has a minimum of 5 anti-HER2 treatments left and is unable to make them without transportation. So, we are asking you if you could donate even a small amount, spread the word, or even send prayers during this time. I know they will appreciate anything!
