The Marte Family

Miguel Marte was a working-class man and a sole-provider for his family. On December 15, 2019, Miguel, 58, suddenly passed unexpectedly in his sleep, leaving behind his three young daughters. The family is still uncertain of the cause of death. His loss has impacted his children and Amara, the mother of his children.  Miguel was known for his "contagious smile", his love for his kids, and his gentle soul. 

My family met Star Marte in her sophomore year at Clarkstown North when we moved up here from the city.  After she became close friends with my daughter, we fell in love with her kindness, her independence and her love for her family.  

As friends who have now become family, we're asking for the community's support during this tragic loss. This help will go towards his funeral, living expenses, and the education of Star, 19, Summer, 13, Siara, 6.  Money can't replace your loved ones, but with the support of the community, we could provide stability and comfort for this family during this difficult time in need.
