Our dear friend and co-worker, Mr. Lopez, recently went in for what was supposed to be a routine knee replacement surgery. During his pre-surgery blood work, doctors discovered something no one was prepared for: he has blood cancer. Instead of preparing for recovery from a knee surgery, he is now fighting a battle against this horrible disease.

As if this devastating news wasn’t enough, his daughter was also recently diagnosed with cancer, which has already spread throughout her bones. Facing one cancer diagnosis is overwhelming, but facing two at the same time — a father and daughter together — is truly unimaginable.

Because of his diagnosis, he has been unable to work, and the family is struggling with the heavy burden of medical bills, treatments, and the daily costs of traveling back and forth for care. This family is in urgent need of support so they can focus on what matters most: healing and fighting together.
