Help Support the Lax for Donnie Tournament
Donation protected
Hi, my name is Dan Friend and I'm the treasurer of the Men's Club Lacrosse Team at Rowan University. Each year, we host a tournament in memory of a founding member of our team, Donald "Donnie" Farrell, who was murdered on campus on homecoming weekend in 2007. Donnie was heading to a convenience store with his friends, when the store was robbed, and Donnie was brutally beaten. He was pronounced dead the next day. 14 years later, his killers have never been found, and there is still a $100,000 reward out for his killers. If you would like to read more about Donnie's Story, please follow some of the links below:

Our team began hosting the tournament in 2015, but has been unable to in the last two seasons due to COVID-19 restrictions. Due to the pandemic, we were unable to play last season, and we didn't receive the funds we typically would from player dues and other ways, so going into this season, we are low on money and need to fundraise. The Lax for Donnie tournament is of the utmost importance to us, because we know how much it means to Donnie's family to have the tournament, and for Donnie's memory to live on and grow every year. We are asking for any donations possible to help pay referees for the tournament, to purchase "Lax for Donnie" shooter shirts for our team, and to fund the Donnie Farrell Memorial Scholarship. Any and all donations are greatly appreciated, and if you are not in the position to donate, please share the fundraiser as much as you can. If you have any questions, feel free to email me at [email redacted]an.edu
To help fundraise, we are also selling the shooter shirts, the link is included below as well as a picture of the shirt:
With your help, we can continue to keep the memory of Donnie Farrell alive. Thank you!
