Help Support the Joyner Family

Stephen Joyner (age 42) passed away on October 24, 2021 after battling for many years with leukemia and chronic pain. Steve and his wife Emily have served their community for many years as public school teachers. Along with his wife Emily, Steve leaves behind three young children, Bruce (14), Aubree (8), and Waverly (6).

 

Besides spending time with his family and friends, Steve was passionate about surfing and about Jesus. He spent much time pouring his heart and energy into the Sandbridge youth group where he established many relationship that would be lasting and meaningful to him. He touched many lives with his energy, sense of humor, and passion for community.

 

Emily and her children, in addition to grieving the loss of their beloved husband and father, have inherited significant debt from Steve's long battle and many surgeries. Donations will go to cover medical expenses and other debt incurred in the course of Steve's illness, and to aid Emily in the transition to raising her children as a single mom.
