Friends and family,
I’m sharing this story with all of you in hopes that you can join me in helping my sister, Emily and her family - husband: Dusty and daughters: Amelia (6) and Ruby (3) as they navigate her recent heartbreaking diagnosis of stage 4 metastatic breast cancer.
At only 35 years old, Emily started experiencing terrible hip pain causing difficulty walking. After multiple MRI’s, scans, and a biopsy, Emily was diagnosed with breast cancer that had spread to her bones. She will now be moving forward with different palliative treatment options including radiation, chemotherapy, and hormone therapy treatment in order to help her battle this cancer for as long as possible.
This Go Fund Me account has been started to ease the burden on the family, with all funds going directly to them. Emily and Dusty will not only have the added cost of treatments but also the unknown of income as Emily’s ability to go back to work will depend on how she reacts to treatments and when it is safe for her to return to work due to the high risk of infection that comes with working in schools as a librarian. Please consider giving any amount and sharing with your friends and family.
Thank you so much for your support!
