Help support the Haney family!

Hi my name is Nina, I am reaching out on behalf of Jillian, Wes and sweet little Callum.

Some of you may not know that recently Callum has overcome leukemia and he kicked cancers butt!

Jillian has shared the story with me about the many weeks of hospital stay he has had and all the things his little body has gone through. It’s a heart wrenching story we are relieved to announce that he is in remission but they have a long recovery road that no one should have to go through alone.

Jillian is now the sole provider for at home care and has taken her career as a back burner in order to provide the best possible care for Callum.

Going from a two income family to a one income family can take a toll dramatically not only financially but mentally.  I would love to have as much support in helping provide financial assistance to this family.

Please help us by donating to them. Any amount would help with all costs of living and take a huge burden off them.

This is a note from Jillian that details more of their story:

August 5, 2021 was the day we learned that Callum had Leukemia. CANCER...the scariest word you can hear from the doctor. Our goofy, sweet, perfect 4 year old was very sick. It shook Wes and I to the core and broke our hearts... As quickly as the diagnosis came, we were admitted to Seattle Children's Hospital to begin treatment immediately. Cal's little body was riddled with the affects of this aggressive disease. He had shown strange behavior, lethargy and low appetite for a couple weeks prior- but we had no idea what we were up against. (And yes, I had taken him to the doctor, with very little help or answers at first. I had to advocate for him and request further testing.) His lungs, heart, kidneys, nervous system- everything was in distress. The number of specialists, oncologists, and tests were overwhelming and downright terrifying...He was placed in the PICU and put on dialysis early on, then transitioned to the cancer care unit... Thank God his body started responding to treatments pretty quickly. After 15 days in the hospital, we came home, where I (Jillian) have become his home nurse. Managing his feeding tube, blood pressure monitor, injections, and complicated medication schedule has been daunting to say the least. The trajectory of our lives has changed course as we navigate aggressive chemotherapy, never-ending doctor appointments, and an extremely immune compromised child... Callum is such a brave, strong, sweet kid, and is doing well- all things considered. We are so very thankful to the incredible doctors and nurses who have taken such great care of our boy.
Praise God, he is now in remission! There is still a long road ahead of us, but he is such a fighter I know he will be back to normal kid stuff before long! He can't wait to go to school, hug his cousin, and have play dates again.
I have been out of work since this all began so that I can care for Callum around the clock, and shuttle him to and from Seattle for his many appointments. Life around us has not stopped, even though it has felt that way at times. Please keep Callum in your prayers and positive thoughts/energy.ly not only financially But mentally I would love to have as much support in helping provide financial assistance to this family.
