My name is Bridget, and I am Travis Foster’s aunt and Nick Foster’s sister.
On December 16th, our family lost Travis unexpectedly at just 17 years old. There are no words that truly capture the heartbreak we are feeling. Travis was a beloved son, brother, grandson, cousin, nephew, and friend. He leaves behind his parents, Nick and Benni Foster, and his little sister Riley, who is 14. Our family is absolutely devastated, and their world has been forever changed.
Travis had lived in the Cane Bay community for over 10 years. He attended Cane Bay Elementary, Cane Bay Middle, and proudly graduated early from Cane Bay High School the week prior on December 8th. He worked at the Chick-fil-A and was known by many in the community. Travis stayed active, regularly working out at the YMCA, and he truly loved being around people. More than anything, he cherished time with his family and friends. He had a kind heart, a familiar smile, and a presence that will be deeply missed.
This unimaginable loss comes during an already incredibly difficult time for the family. Travis’s mom, Benni, had hip surgery on November 20th and is currently out of work for approximately 12 weeks. Medical bills have already been adding up, and she has recently learned her insurance is being canceled, requiring her to transition to COBRA coverage until she can return to work. Now, on top of the emotional pain of losing their son, the family is facing mounting financial stress, all just days before Christmas.
Travis will be cremated, and a service will be announced as soon as arrangements are finalized. The family plans to take time to grieve and process this loss and will hold a memorial after the new year.
This GoFundMe was created to help ease the financial burden for the Foster family so they can focus on what truly matters right now, grieving, healing, and supporting one another. Funds will help with medical expenses, funeral and memorial costs, insurance gaps, and everyday living expenses during this incredibly painful time.
If you are unable to donate, please consider sharing this page. Every share helps surround this family with support, love, and prayers during a time when they need it most.
Thank you from the bottom of our hearts for lifting up the Foster family in any way you can.
