We are writing this on behalf of our dear friend and co-worker whose family has experienced a horrible loss due to COVID-19.

What can be said about Lou? First off, he inspired all who met him. He was a warm guy full of dad jokes and slightly ribald humor who enjoyed being with people and was thankful for each day. Always the fashion guru with the latest styles to make you smile. A simple strep throat in his early twenties destroyed his kidneys, however, he was lucky to receive a transplant that lasted him nearly thirty years before it started to fail.

Through all sorts of health problems, he was always upbeat and hopeful. You would never know the pain he felt. He'd drop everything if you needed him. No matter what. Sadly, the last months of his life would see him in the hospital. So many hurdles to overcome left him on the edge. Lou, always the fighter, would miraculously improve. Sadly, his first grandchild would be born while he was tethered to a ventilator. However, in the end, his heart, so full of love for his family, friends, and coworkers, could beat no more.

Any donations to the family are greatly appreciated to help with medical bills and funeral expenses. Send your love and condolences to the family as we lay our loving friend, husband, father, and grandfather to rest.❤️
