We are heartbroken to share the sudden passing of Jose Sambrano—a beloved husband, father, and servant of Christ—who left this world unexpectedly on Sunday. He leaves behind his loving wife, their young children, and an unborn baby.

Jose’s life was a powerful testimony of redemption. As a former member of a major gang, he used his past not to dwell in it, but to minister to the troubled youth of Wichita with a deep understanding and unmatched compassion. His ability to connect instantly with others and his commitment to equipping fellow believers to reach those in pain was nothing short of inspiring.

Jose often said that he and his friends—once on the streets, now in the church—had become the Body of Christ, looking at life through a new lens of grace, love, and hope. His presence and passion made a real difference, and his absence leaves a profound void in the community. Jose & Rachel’s ministry, ‘The Body Of Christ ICT’ (TBOC), has delivered the Gospel to countless people on the streets of Wichita based on Ephesians 4:3.

With Rachel’s permission, I set this fundraiser up to support this precious family as they face the overwhelming emotional and financial challenges ahead. Every dollar given will go toward helping this beautiful family with funeral expenses, immediate needs, and long-term care for the children. There was no life insurance and we know medical bills are coming as Rachel will deliver baby Jose this fall.
