Hello everyone, I never thought I would have to be doing this at 22 years old and it saddens me to even be writing this but recently my dad Alex has passed away very unexpectedly. Our dad, our hero unfortunately drowned while fighting and trying to save my little brother and our best friend “Duke,” the dog pictured with him, as they approached a hidden powerful current whirlpool near a reservoir out in Yuma, Az in the Colorado River this past Sunday. All of us as a family are in shock and don’t want to believe he is gone. This is so hard but I know my dad would want us to stay strong and keep fighting and ask for help when we need it most. With his passing, my family and I are left with only my mom working and I’m not sure we have enough to keep us afloat during this hard time. We have decided to start this gofundme to ask for any donations you can make/give to help pay for his funeral service expenses as well as help pay some of the expense we may have while we get through this.
