Help support the Dye family

Trigger Warning: Suicide

.....

Hi my name is Sarah. I created this gofundme to help support my family (Dye family).
On December 23rd of 2021, my uncle Allen (Allen C. Dye, 49) lost his battle to PTSD/depression by his own hands.
California Camp Fire survivor, that destroyed almost 19,000 homes and businesses. Allen, First Class Petty Officer, served in the Navy from 1996 to 2005. He is survived by his two loving daughters Maddie (22) and Rebecca (13), as well as his mother, siblings, nieces, nephews and friends.

.....

"In 1972, our family welcomed a beautiful baby boy. Growing up, he made a lot of friends because of his outgoing personality, not to mention his kindness and generosity. Allen was an incredible loving person with a heart of gold. It's no wonder that his friends thought of him as family. He was deeply loved by so many people. Allen had a great sense of humor and was good at impersonating people. He had the ability to quote people verbatim.

In 1995, Allen joined the Navy and was assigned to the USS John C. Stennis. He served from 1996 to 2005. He took great pride during his time serving his country and served to the fullest of his ability. Allen was proud of his military accomplishments and our family is too.

Hearts have been feeling heavy with the saddness of our loss. We also feel blessed because we were given the honors of knowing him. Allen has a special place in everyone's heart.

Until We Meet Again

"Those special memories of you

     will always bring a smile.

If only we could have you back

     for just a little while.

Then we could sit and talk again,

just like we used to do.

You always meant so very much

     and always will too.

The fact you're no longer here

     will always cause us pain,

But you're forever in our hearts

     until we meet again."
 "

.....

I am asking you for help to assist our family with the cost of cleaning his home. The VA, and other programs do not cover cleaning after these types of situations, per his wishes the house will be sold, however it can not be sold without a professional cleaning and flooring replacement. The estimate for cleaning his home is roughly $58,000 due to these circumstances, there are very few cleaners that are willing to assist in this particular type of cleaning (I can't go into further details).

Anything helps and we thank you for your kindness during these times.
