Last year we almost lost Cheyenne to complications after a routine surgery. It took several test / images and just over a year to figure out what went wrong but it was found she had multiple blood clots previously not discovered and a mutation within her DNA that causes thickening of the blood and a swollen spleen.
The doctors assigned to her case haven’t gotten any further than that. Meanwhile her spleen has began getting greatly enlarged and the veins and arteries in her abdomen have become thrombotic. Making surgery to remove the spleen extremely difficult. Chances of her bleeding out on the table are very high.
I am very hopeful the doctors at UCSF will find a way to save her before her spleen ruptures on its own.
Until then, we are basically living in the hospital. And when we get out of the hospital I intend to be by Cheyennes side day and night until she makes a full recovery.
That means I won’t be available to run my tree business “that Cheyenne helped me build” our monthly bills and expenses are roughly 1,400 per month. And that includes almost everything. I don’t know how long this will last And I’m not typically the type to ask for money. But in order to keep up on bills and keep food in the house I may need some help.
I’m not begging, I do have a little money and I’ll go back to work when I need to.
But if you can help, our family would greatly appreciate it.
