Our beautiful, strong, & courageous aunt, Velvet DiLeo was diagnosed with stage four metastatic genetic ovarian cancer in May 2020. The normal prognosis for her condition was grim, but as a testament to her strength, she continued to battle until October 24, 2023, when the cancer overtook her body.

Through the 3 years that she battled this awful disease, there were consistent hospital stays that caused her two daughters, Nikki & Jiana, and husband Peter to miss work. This caused a lack of funds for the family as they used all of their paid holidays, sick days, and vacation time to drive her to, and from appointments, overnight at extended hospital stays, and for consistent procedures. Due to this, the family has a multitude of hospital bills, medical bills, and final care costs that they need our help with.

If you know the DiLeo family, you know that they are some of the most giving humans on the planet Earth. Velvet particularly was known as the animal rescuer of Brooklyn, she's rescued a multitude of animals and used her own funds to spay/neuter, feed, and care for them. They have been there for so many people in their times of need, and I hope that as a community, we can rally together and give them the love & support they need at this incredibly difficult time.
