Help Support the Devolin Family

Hi, my name is Lauren and I’m starting this fund to help support my family while my dad is in the ICU.

His Story:

Brent started to not feel well on Thursday June 13th, on Friday he went into the hospital but every test they ran came back negative so they sent him home. Saturday afternoon he laid down for a nap and by 1am Sunday morning his wife, Laurie, heard him breathing funny. She reached out to grab him to push him up on his side to help him breathe and felt that he had an intense fever and nothing she tried would wake him up. She called an ambulance to take him to the local hospital and by 9am Sunday, June 16th, he was airlifted to Toronto Western Hospital. He has been in a coma on life support ever since. All of his symptoms are presenting as bacterial meningitis, but we still have a long journey of tests and scans searching for definitive answers as the doctors and nurses are doing all they can to get his condition stable and under control.

I’m creating this fundraiser to help support my mom, as my dad was a self employed contractor with no benefits or insurance, and for any and all medical/accomodation/travel/rehabilitation expenses that may incur for the family.
