Help Support The Crouse Family

The Crouse and Dainard families are asking for your help to support Jared and Kathy Crouse as they navigate through a really tough battle ahead.

After returning home from a family wedding, Jared wasn’t feeling well and was hospitalized without health insurance. He was eventually diagnosed with a very rare form of cancer (ampullary). The mass was touching the ampullary, head of the pancreas, and duodenum. A lifesaving surgery was planned for July 8th- the day after his daughter’s 16th birthday.

Shortly into the surgery, they discovered the cancer had spread to Jared’s liver. They closed him up and the family was notified that they could no longer proceed with the surgery. His cancer was diagnosed as stage 4. The prognosis of his cancer is not good and comes only three years after Kathy's own diagnosis with breast cancer. Cancer has completely reshaped their lives.

Jared and Kathy have four children aged 16 to 23 and one daughter-in-law. They have been married for over 25 years. Jared is a wrestling coach for the community at Benjamin Franklin High School. He has a passion for sports, wrestling, Star Wars, Disneyland, superheroes, movies, and Transformers. He is known for bringing his bag of transformers to his nieces and nephews, and to church for the kids around him. He is always hoping someone might enjoy them… and they do (and often their dads too ). He is known for his sense of humor and his huge heart. Jared is a self-employed mental health counselor in Gilbert, Arizona. He is known and deeply loved by the community. Family and friends are devastated.
