On early Saturday, Casey rushed (Jersey) leanne Coburn to the hospital. She has a vertebral artery dissection, which caused a small stroke! The artery that feeds the brain has torn on her left side. Neurologists do not know how this happened but told us this artery has to heal on its own and will take 3 months. During these 3 months, she is at high risk for another stroke or even death. The only way to help prevent this from happening is blood thinners, which also carries its own issues to the body. These next few months are going to continue to be hard on this family as she navigates the therapy and drugs to heal. Taye is at the end of her softball season, graduation approaching and getting her off to college. Casey is now the sole provider as well as trying to single parent, manage her care, and not lose his marbles!
All of us know this wonderful Coburn family would literally do anything for anyone in need! Also, if you are one of (Jersey) Leanne's patients/client, you know what the magic healing hands this woman has and the biggest heart she has for anyone she comes in contact with! Literally, once she touches you, you are her family for life. Please, if you can, help them get her back to good! We need her as much as she needs us right now!
BIG THANK YOU to their softball family who has been bringing meals every day and surrounding Taye and raising her up through these last hard steps of senior year!
