Hello everyone! I am fundraising for my school’s senior year. This includes the senior class trip, prom, exit day, etc. COVID caused a lot of stress for many of us. This was undoubtedly a significant loss with most of our high school years being wiped away and dealing with our own hardships. We made it through everything and here we are now. With COVID restrictions as well it can be pretty challenging to have a lot of these events. We'd like to take advantage of our last year and make it the most memorable. Going out with a bang!

Our high school is very small, consisting of a graduating class of 49 students. With COVID, virtual learning, and everything else it’s been pretty difficult to fundraise. As such, we only have this year to properly advertise and raise money. This will enable us to have a fulfilling senior year and to take part in all the activities we would like to have. Trying to salvage what we have left of the high school experience. Prom is one of the biggest and most memorable nights for senior year, but it is also extremely costly. Many venues have really hefty prices and it would be really appreciated if we can get as much help as possible to cover the costs. Additionally, we are planning our senior trip. This is yet to be determined but we have to figure out pricing for the trip in general for students individually, as well as busing. This tends to be pricey as well (approximately 2k). Also, considering the fact there aren’t as many bus drivers as before and with covid restrictions. The prices are rising.

The class of 2023 has accustomed itself to what has been happening and is trying to make the absolute most of it. But it is our last year so we are really trying our hardest to do the most we can, especially after missing out on so much. Most of our time was tossed away, and it was tough being online for basically all of our high school years and then having to adjust back to being in person. This affected all of us mentally, physically, and psychologically. Now, senior year has come so quickly because as you know the saying time flies by and it is so true. Very much apparent to us now. With this, we are in dire need of raising money and doing the best we can to make our final year the most enjoyable it can be. With such limited time, there aren’t many opportunities to fundraise within the school.

Touching more on our seniors, they have a lot going for them academically, socially, etc. We have scored higher in testing and on the SAT than the average percentage for Hudson County. We have a 100% college acceptance rate and partake in acts of community service. In addition, a lot of our students are involved in many clubs and organizations such as the National Honor Society, Class Officers, City Wide Student Council, Key Club, Sports, Art Club, Kazoo Club, Module UN, Sustainability Club, Yearbook, Multicultural Club, Gardening, and Band Club. Striving to do the most we can to better ourselves.

We would like to take advantage and make the most of our Senior year and do as much as we can with the time we have left. To be able to have the opportunity and indulge in the memorable activities Seniors do. In honor of all our diligent work and dedication.
