“Hello, my name is Lache Wilkins, and I am the oldest child of my beautiful mother, Tania Wilkins.
My mom was a devoted mother of four and a bonus Aunt and guardian to my cousin, who she took in and raised as her own. She leaves behind five children who loved her dearly: myself (25), Marquice (24), Raymond (15), Jarell (10), and Khalil (13).
My mom began suffering from seizures in 2004, a condition that often stopped oxygen from reaching her brain. Despite her health struggles, she was the heart of our family, the one we all depended on. She was a mother, sister, aunt, cousin, valued community member and friend who always made people laugh and brought joy wherever she went. She loved her family deeply and was truly the life of the party.
Five years ago, when my aunt Tilisha (my mom’s sister) passed away, my mom opened her heart and home to raise my cousin Khalil, who was just 8 years old at the time. That’s the kind of person she was, always putting others first, even when life was hard.
Her passing has left us heartbroken and facing many unexpected challenges. Along with funeral expenses, we now need support to cover rent, daily living costs, and the needs of her younger children. We are hoping to raise $20,000 to help stabilize our family during this incredibly difficult time.
Anything you are able to give no matter how small, will make a difference. If you cannot donate, please consider sharing this campaign with others.
From the bottom of my heart, thank you for your love, prayers, and support during this devastating loss.
With gratitude,
Lache Wilkins & Family”
