On December 24th, what should have been a night of joy and celebration became the Burt family's darkest hour. Andy Sherman Burt—beloved husband to Jeanna, devoted father to Kathryn-Anne, Emmalyne-Grace and Jonathan Parker and friend to all—suffered a sudden heart attack and was taken from us far too soon at the tender age of 49. In an instant, their world was shattered, and Jeanna has found herself facing the unimaginable reality of raising their three children alone.

Andy was more than a husband and father—he was the heart of the Burt family. His passion for serving Jesus and his unwavering dedication to his wife and kids defined who he was. Whether he was helping Kathryn-Anne navigate her ROTC program at Virginia Tech, encouraging Emmalyne-Grace in her fencing triumphs or fostering Jonathan Parker's love for sports, Andy poured his whole heart into everything he did. His sudden passing has left a void that can never be filled.
